Beans stir fry kerala
This is a vegetable curry made with beans with a spicy sauce kerala style. The beans stir fry kerala has a wonderfully flavoured gravy that and can go well with rice or roti.


Step 1

Put the beans in boiling salted water till they are cooked al dente. Drain and set aside.

Step 2

In a blender, combine spice paste ingredients and grind to make a smooth paste. Mix with 3/4 cup of vegetable stock and set aside.

Step 3

Put coconut oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the tempering spices. When the spices crackle, add onion and saute till golden. Mix in the ground spice paste and cook for 5 minutes till the gravy thickens. Add the beans to the gravy and let it cook for 2 minutes. Set aside. Serve hot with roti or rice.

My Notes
1. Add extra chilli powder if you like it spicy.
2. Fresh green peas are recommended in the original recipe. This will work very well with that too.
