Spicy tomato sauce for tapas

This is a very basic and easy to make spicy tomato sauce for tapas. The sauce has great utility value and can be used along with pasta, sauces and tagines.

Step 1

Heat the olive oil over low heat and add the tomato sauce along with the other ingredients. Stir and adjust the seasoning if necessary.

Step 2

Toast the bread slices in an oven. Place a table spoon of the sauce mix on top of each slice. Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil and serve.

My Notes

1. The spicy tomato sauce of this recipe is the same one used for Patatas Bravas – Crispy fried potatoes with spicy tomato sauce on top.

2.You can use any bread that is available. Baguettes are ideal. Slice the bread half inch thick to make it easy to eat.
