Turkish spicy tomato sauce

This is a very basic and easy to make Turkish spicy tomato sauce to put on top of kebabs, pita or to be just had as a dip with breads.   The sauce has great utility value and can be used along with stews and , kebabs and Tagines.

Step 1

Heat the olive oil over low heat and add the tomato sauce along with the other ingredients. Stir and adjust the seasoning if necessary. cook for a few minutes and set aside to cool.

Step 2

Puree in a mixer, check the seasoning and use.

My Notes

1. Vary the quantity of Biber Salcasi to increase or decrease the spice.
2. This sauce is best had with Lamb Kofta Kebabs by chopping up the koftas, pouring the sauce on top and dress it finally with some yogurt garlic dip.
